Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are usually made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in our bodies. Filler can be placed in the cheeks and mid-face to replace the volume that we lose as we age, thus giving us a more youthful-looking face. Dermal fillers can also be used to improve the look of lines around the mouth, tear troughs, and chin.

Lip Fillers

Lip fillers such as the Juvederm® and Restylane® brands are made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in our bodies. They can replace or add volume in our lips for plumper, fuller, or more defined lips. As people age, our lips age with us, gradually becoming smaller and having more vertical lines.

Biostimulant fillers

These fillers promote collagen production in the skin for a youthful look.

Sculptra® and Radiesse® are two popular biostimulant fillers. Sculptra® contains poly-L-lactic acid which is a synthetic material that is absorbed over time. It uses an inflammatory response in order to trigger collagen production and thicken the skin. Radiesse® contains calcium hydroxylapatite, which is structurally similar to what is found in the bones and teeth. Radiesse® also stimulates collagen production, but it is non-inflammatory.
